Opening Keynote Session

Hear from a recent fellow from Global Citizen Year on why language learning matters and the impact it has on students.


Kick off the day with some breakfast and coffee.

Technology in the Classroom

The use of technology is well established today. In this session our training team and client services leads will share with you the best way to accomplish Rosetta Stone integration in the classroom. Discussion will include internet access, devices and headsets.

ELL Breakout I: English Learners in the United States Today & Tomorrow

What can we do as educators to ensure that those students who need to learn English are receiving the best possible experience? In this breakout, EL teacher, [insert name], will share best practices, success tips and brainstorm ideas.

Data, Your Students and Rosetta Stone

Rosetta Stone tracks data about your students' success and progress in Rosetta Stone. Our training team lead will review the available reports and help you understand what those numbers actually mean and how you can use them to be a more effective teacher.

ELL Breakout II: Using Rosetta Stone Offline Materials in the EL Classroom

Thousands of offline pages are available to help support your classroom efforts. Our training team will review and discuss the many varied materials available, and talk about best practices in using them in your classroom. Materials include teacher's guides, workbooks, flash cards and much more!

Lunch & Birds of a Feather Roundtables

This is an opportunity for you to have a discussion with other attendees and the Rosetta Stone team on various tropics in a small group setting. Grab some food, share ideas and learn from each other.

Rosetta Stone Focus Group

This session will provide an opportunity for us at Rosetta Stone to better understand the use of digital resources in the language learning classroom. Your feedback will help us fine-tune and improve our ongoing efforts to provide effective K-12 language learning solutions. Join our product team to discuss what has been working for you, improvements you'd like to see, and ideas you have for the future of language learning.

Cameron Kaufman

Global Citizen Year / JP Morgan Asset Management

Cameron Kaufman spent her gap year in Ecuador through Global Citizen Year where she worked with a local education-focused NGO. She learned Spanish and discovered her love for languages. She minored in Portuguese, worked with the Brazilian immigrant community, eventually working with an advertising company in Rio de Janeiro. She currently works for J.P. Morgan Asset Management in New York City.

Timmy Sullivan

Bilingual Advocate & International Speaker

Timmy Sullivan is an honors political science student at the University of Mass Amherst. He is a bilingual international speaker raising discussion and building support for digital citizenship, youth in politics, and the importance of student voice in public education and politics. He is also an advocate for multilingualism, as he sees the cognitive and cultural benefits in US public education and policy-making.

Robert R. Greene Sands


Robert R. Greene Sands is the CEO of LanguaCulture LLC, an adjunct professor at Norwich University, and CEO and board chair for Pamlico Rose Institute for Sustainable Communities. He is one of the foremost experts in cross-cultural competence in the Department of Defense and has worked closely with several DoD organizations to develop and deliver innovative blended-learning programs in culture and language.

Melanie Rogers

Rosetta Stone

Melanie Rogers is the Training Team Lead for Enterprise and Education at Rosetta Stone. She provides professional development workshops and orientation sessions to help clients successfully implement Rosetta Stone. She is passionate about education and lifelong learning opportunities. Melanie loves supporting teachers and helping them create and maintain effective language learning programs. She was named Rosetta Stone MVP in 2016.

Louise Walker

Rosetta Stone

Louise Walker is a Training Specialist at Rosetta Stone. She delivers high energy, high quality training and enjoys helping make language learning goals a reality. She provides consultative implementation training to clients and collaborates with them on the best ways to measure ROI for their language-learning program. She has lived in several different countries gaining an appreciation for world languages and other cultures.

Billy Weddle

Billy Weddle is the Associate Manager for Educational Client Services at Rosetta Stone. Billy’s team is instrumental in the successful implementation of some of the largest and most forward thinking districts in North America. Billy takes pride in leading a team that uses a consultative approach to fully understand each school or district's unique language learning goals and helping them create a path to success.
